Senior Cat Photos with Muffy, a 17 year old Fluffball

I love doing cat photography, especially with senior cats, so when I got an email asking me to photograph a lovely young couple’s 17 year old kitty named Muffy, I couldn’t wait to meet them. We booked the shoot, and I arrived to meet Muffy. She is a Maine Coon, so she’s extra fluffy. At 17 years old you would think she would just kind of lie around for the entire shoot (hey, that’s what my 12 year old cat does), and that it would be a bit difficult to get her to do something fun, but you would be wrong.

Muffy laid around at first, but once her favorite toy came out – a pair of earplugs – she went totally crazy, and I got it all on (digital) film. We ended the shoot with Muffy on top of her loving owner, getting her cheeks rubed. My clients told me that was her favorite spot in the entire world. I felt so honored to be able to meet these clients and this gorgeous kitty, and I absolutely love senior cat photos. Here is Muffy – I hope you enjoy this gallery of photos!
