Grumpy Cat comes to Berkeley!

Last weekend the infamous Grumpy Cat arrived in Berkeley, CA to help the Berkeley Humane  christen it’s new MAC, which stands for Mobile Adoption Center. It’s a slick van with cats inside, basically. This will help them adopt animals at off-site events without having to setup cages on card tables. As someone who used to set up cages outside Starbucks for years, this type of vehicle is a godsend to any rescue operation.

Grumpy Cat arrived like any other media star would be expected to arrive – via police escort in a blacked-out limo! Scroll down to check out my photos from the day, and thanks again to Berkeley Humane, Chronicle Books, and Grumpy Cat herself for an amazing day!

Grumpy Cat arrived in Berkeley, aka Grumpytown USA, via Police escort.

The limo containing Grumpy Cat.

Grumpy’s owner was all smiles as she exited the limo with Grumpy in tow.

Grumpy had the exact look on her face one would expect.

That face – classic Grump!

Check out the face she made when her human gave her a face snuggle – it was priceless.

Grumpy Cat actually looked right at me!

She was presented an award by Berkeley Humane.

The ribbon was cut, and the MAC was christened!

When it was all over, her owner held her up for the cameras. All hail Grumpy Cat!
